Strength – Power – Endurance – Courage – Teamwork
The foundation of every Iron Dog athlete.
The Iron Dog Drafting Program honors the heritage of working dogs — animals bred to haul, serve, and partner with purpose. Through licensed competitions and a structured titling system, Iron Dog Drafting recognizes excellence in teamwork, precision, and pulling performance.
Our events are designed to test both the dog’s physical ability and the handler’s skill, promoting safe, controlled, and rewarding challenges that showcase the partnership when competing.
How it Works
- Licensed Competitions: All Iron Dog Drafting events are officially sanctioned to ensure fair, consistent standards across venues.
- Progressive Titling: Dogs earn points and titles based on performance, accuracy, and teamwork, advancing through multiple levels of achievement.
- All Breeds Welcome: The program recognizes performance and heart over pedigree — open to any breed or mix with the drive to work.
- Safety & Welfare Focus: Proper harnessing, load management, and warm-up/cool-down protocols are strictly enforced.
- Judged Performance: Certified judges oversee all classes for accuracy, control, and sportsmanship.
